Sandia National Labs Academic Programs Collaboration Report
NNSA’s MSIIP opens doors at national labs like Sandia
Sandia MSIIP lead Rahni Kellum said, “Students in the program really gain fantastic, real-world experience that prepares them for their future career.” She added, “They also benefit from being mentored by fantastic scientists and engineers who are leaders in their field.”
The NNSA-MSIIP offers paid summer or year long internship opportunities to interns that can continue to pay dividends for their careers even after their internship is over. Undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees at Minority Serving Institutions (MSI) in critical STEM fields and other disciplines that complement current and future missions of the NNSA can apply for the opportunities. This means students can work in engineering, science, research, technology, policy, business, or government relations positions.
